Fergie’s got a new album on the way, and in advance of the release of “Double Dutchess”, the Black Eyed Peas star has just dropped a new video for “You Already Know”, in which she’s joined by Nicki Minaj.
The black-and-white video finds Fergie, 42, sporting a few different outfits (including a couple made of black latex) for the first single from the long-awaited followup to 2006’s “Dutchess”.
In an interview with ET Canada’s Roz Weston (above), Fergie explains the inherent duality that underlies her upcoming album. “It’s kind of like that girl that has the mask on with all the dazzle and all of that, but then tearing the mask off and seeing what the girl is behind the mask,” she said.
“I’m definitely extroverted and I like to have a laugh at everything,” Fergie added. “But also when you get to my soul and my heart, I’m this really ultra-sensitive person underneath and very vulnerable.”
“Double Dutchess” is slated to be released on Sept. 22, along with a “visual experience” she’s calling “Seeing Double”.
