The Spice Girls went through many makeovers and outfits over their first six year run, but they weren’t all winners.
Victoria Beckham revealed the Spice Girls look she most hates. “I look back at some of those looks that I pushed in the Spice Girls, and, you know…” she told British department store Selfridges. “Do I cringe? A little.”

“We went to the American Music Awards, and we looked like five men in drag,” she explained. “We had so much makeup on. It was unbelievable.”
Beckham described the look as “most hideous.” The singer and fashion designer added how, “I look back at the pictures and I’m like, ‘Whoa, that was a lot of makeup.’ And then we took the layering of the makeup to a whole new level.”

But there are also looks that Beckham, now 43, looks back on fondly. “I had really short hair [in the music video for ‘Goodbye’],” she said. “I’d just had it short with a pixie cut. And that was quite nice, natural makeup.”
Besides, as Beckham puts its, every bold look has its risks: “I think it’s great to be able to experiment, you know? And try things. And work out what works on you. I also think it’s good to try new things so you can not get stuck with the same look.”
