Hip hop artist Cardi B said a white NYPD officer put her in a choke hold over an argument between drivers on Tuesday night.

In the now deleted tweet, Cardi B reportedly told fans: “I can’t believe this cop put me in a choke hold just now! S**t is crazy. These New York cops don’t know how to do they [sic] job f**k 12.”

When a follower asked if the officer in question was white, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper was quick to reply: “Yup, he was.”

According to TMZ, Cardi B was in the passenger seat of her Bentley SUV when another driver hit her car. The rapper and her cousin supposedly started arguing with the other driver. That is when an NYPD officer allegedly grabbed Cardi B by the neck and pinned her against the Bentley.

Cardi B is said to have been let go once the situation simmered down, no one was injured and no report was filed. Alleged sources told TMZ the rapper was not considering legal action at the time.

An NYPD spokesperson said they had no records or information about Cardi’s claim, which the rapper later addressed in an interview with Felisha Monet of 99Jamz.

“It really bothered me when a lot of people were saying, like, she’s doing it for publicity,” she says of her chokehold claims in the interview (which you can watch below), admitting “that s**t really f**ked my head up.”

“I ain’t gonna lie, I wasn’t being a saint,” adds Cardi B before proceeding to tell her version of events. Watch:
