A chance meeting with a young girl suffering from a rare illness had a profound effect on Ryan Reynolds, and the “Deadpool” star continues to honour the memory of Grace Bowen, who lost her battle with Osteosarcoma in 2015 at age 9.

Reynolds is continuing to help build awareness for Toronto’s SickKids Hospital in this new video, in which he was joined by approximately 300 SickKids staff members who volunteered their time to take part in the shoot.

The new spot — titled “SickKids VS: Join Us” — will be making its broadcast debut on Wednesday, Sept. 27 during the two-hour season premiere of “Survivor”, airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global.

In addition, Reynolds’ spot will also air during the Toronto Maple Leafs season home opener on Saturday, Oct 7, in advance of a new SickKids fundraising campaign later this fall.

During a visit with ET Canada last year, Reynolds spoke about his involvement with SickKids (below), and you can find out more at fundthefight.ca.
