We already know that weed-loving celebs such as Woody Harrelson and Willie Nelson have called for marijuana to be legalized, but now Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman is lending his voice to the pro-pot debate.
In an interview last week with The Daily Beast, the Shawshank Redemption star was unwavering in his opinion about marijuana: “Legalize it across the board,”; he said, admitting he’s a frequent medicinal user since a 2008 car accident left him suffering chronic pain.
“Marijuana has many useful uses,”; he pointed out. “I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana. They’re talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they’ve discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life.”;
When it comes to a preferred marijuana delivery system, he admits he isn’t picky.
“How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it,”; he said.
