Hollywood has been rocked by the explosive revelations surrounding Harvey Weinstein, with numerous women coming forward to recount their alleged experiences of inappropriate sexual conduct from the disgraced movie mogul.
As “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Terry Crews points out, Weinstein is far from the only person in Hollywood to abuse a position of power in that way — and the victims aren’t just women.
Crews — a former NFL player who played for the L.A. Rams, the San Diego Chargers and the Washington RedskinS — took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a revelation of his own, revealing that the Harvey Weinstein scandal was “giving me PTSD” because “this kind of thing happened to ME.”

In a series of tweets, Crews recalls attending a Hollywood function with his wife last year when “a high-level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates,” in full view of Crews’ wife.
His first instinct, he says, was “to kick his ass right then — but I thought twice about how the whole thing would appear,” writes Crews, offering a mock headline: “240-lb Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho,” adding that he “wouldn’t have been able to read it because I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN JAIL.”
As Crews explains, he didn’t pursue the issue at the time because of fear over being ostracized (“par for the course when the predator has power and influence”), admitting he understands “why many women who this happens to let it go.”
At the end of the day, Crews hopes that “me coming forward with my story will deter a predator and encourage someone who feels hopeless.”
