Céline Dion was among the galaxy of the stars that made an appearance at last night’s Billboard Music Awards. In addition to presenting an award, the multi-platinum performer addressed her scheduled August return to the Vegas stage and the health of her husband René Angélil.
“If there’s going to be one person in the theatre that night it’s going to be him,”; shared the Grammy winner when speaking with the press. René has been battling health issues to the point where Céline shut down her Caesars Palace residency to focus on his recovery. “It’s going to be for him. I want to make him see me strong again.”;
The “Because You Loved Me”; songstress told reporters that René has encouraged her to return to performing.
“He wants me strong,”; said Céline. “He wants to see me again because I’m his favorite singer. So, he wants me out there, and I have to say that I’m ready.”;
Céline Dion’s first post-hiatus performance is scheduled to take place at the Colosseum stage at Caesars Palace on August 27. According to Céline, the new edition of the show will be revamped by “30 to 40 percent.”;
