If you’re planning on checking out the two-hour season finale of Remedy tonight on Global at 8 p.m. ET, you may want to have some tissues handy. “It’s a tearjerker,” promises Genelle Williams, who plays Zoe Rivera, of tonight’s emotional rollercoaster.

“Everybody’s lives are just swirling out of control,” she says. “It’s intense and I’m just really, really excited for everyone to see it.” Of course no one is swirling out of control more than prodigal son Griffin whose drug addiction returned with a vengeance this season. “Addiction is a family  disease,” adds Genelle. “As much as it’s Griff going through it, it affects every single person involved. There’s so many people worried and stopping their lives for you and we’ll see a lot of that too in this episode – a lot of people stopping what they’re doing all for Griff.”

So does that mean big sister Mel will put her plans to leave Bethune and head south to Dallas with Dr. Cutler on hold?  “I can’t really say what happens but there definitely is a big huge change with Mel and Cutler,” teases Genelle. “Are they gonna go, are they not gonna go? Is Griff gonna be the reason why they go or don’t go?”

Genelle can reveal that the Connor family decides to stage an intervention for Griffin and Zoe is conflicted about whether or not she should participate: “She’s already been through so much and she wants to forgive him and she wants to be there for him but I think she’s really torn about what she should do and you’ll see in the finale, she really fights a battle.”

And just as season two premiered with a bang (literally, there was an explosion in the hospital) expect the season to end equally as big. “At the end of the two hours, it’s just such a shocker and it really just hits you in the gut.”
