Blake Lively Opens Up About ‘Voyeuristic, Terrifying’ Experience When She Caught A Makeup Artist Filming Her While She Slept

As numerous female stars (and even a few male ones) come forward to share their own experiences of sexual harassment in the Hollywood workplace, Blake Lively is opening up about something that happened to her which she describes as “voyeuristic” and “terrifying.”

As Lively tells the Los Angeles Times, she once found herself on the receiving end of sexual harassment from a makeup artist who was working with her on a project.

“He was saying things inappropriately, insisting on putting my lipstick on with his finger,” she told the Times. “I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.”

Lively said that she reported what happened to the producers, but nothing was done. “Finally, after three months of complaining, they called me into my trailer and said, ‘We need to talk to you,'” she revealed. “I thought, ‘Well finally, they’re going to do something about this man who I had to have touching me all day.’ And they said, ‘Your dog left a poop behind the toilet in your dressing room and our janitor had to pick it up. And this is very serious and we can’t have this happen again.’”

Lively ultimately consulted a lawyer, which led to an investigation that resulted in the makeup artist being removed from the project.

However, Lively admitted she wasn’t entirely satisfied with the way things were resolve. “Our unit production manager wrote him a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to be bad blood,” she added.
