Mom-to-be Mindy Kaling stops by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday to reveal a few exciting things about her pregnancy.
“The Mindy Project” creator and star sits down with DeGeneres weeks before her due date to discuss the ups and downs of being pregnant.
“I’m obsessed with sitting,” she reveals about things she previously took for granted. “[But] getting up will be challenging. I’m counting on you to hoist me out of the chair.”

Kaling, who has kept the father’s identity private, goes on to confirm the sex of her child. Though her “A Wrinkle In Time” co-star, Oprah, accidentally revealed the sex back in September, Kaling backs up Oprah’s claim and forgives her for the early reveal.
“I wanted to know way early. I’m having a girl…I’m excited about it,” she tells the audience. “[And] if anyone is going to announce big news about your private life Oprah Winfrey is THE person. You can’t complain about it that much. And you can’t be like, ‘Hey, Oprah, zip it,’ because she’s almost like a religious figure.”

“She’s learning this now….I think I learned a long time ago that it’s not a good idea to reprimand Oprah,” she adds about the unexpected reveal. “At a certain point I thought, You know, you can’t take it back, and I’m excited about it.”
