Friday the 13th just got a whole lot spookier.
With the imminent arrival of the second season of “Stranger Things”, Netflix has released the final trailer for the sci-fi series’ highly anticipated return. Picking up roughly a year after the events of season 1, Will Byers and his friends continue to deal with the aftermath of the Upside Down. During Halloween, an even more sinister entity threatens the people of Hawkins, Indiana – but as Mike Wheeler points out, “If anyone else can destroy this thing, it’s Will.”
The trailer also features several nods to Hollywood horror classics, including “Ghostbusters” and “The Exorcist”, as well as Easter eggs that will excite fans of the first season (get your waffles ready, folks).
For fans wanting more, a new clip from the upcoming season debuted at MCM Comic Con on Monday, introduced by actress Millie Bobby Brown:
“Stranger Things” season 2 drops October 27 on Netflix, just in time for Halloween. See what the cast told ET Canada about the upcoming season in the video below.
