Gwyneth Paltrow was honoured with the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service at this year’s God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards.
The 11th annual awards gala, which works in support of God’s Love We Deliver, one of New York City’s most recognizable food delivery charities, took place on Monday, Oct. 16 at Spring Studios in Manhattan with a dinner, awards presentation and after-party.
In addition to Paltrow, this year’s honourees included theatre producer Jordan Roth, who received the Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement, and board member Jon Gilman, who received the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Volunteerism.
With Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour sitting as the honourary chairwoman, co-chairs for the event also included Sarah Arison, Nell Diamond, Kate Hudson, John Idol, Michael Kors, Sandra Lee and Blaine Trump.
According to a Facebook page for the event, funds raised at this year’s awards will “help ensure that no person in the NYC metropolitan area suffers the dual crisis of hunger and life-altering illness.” This year’s event helped raise $2.3 million.
