Dwayne Johnson has been riding a box office high since “Furious 7″ was released in April and is still bringing in money.
But now, he’s got a chance to get back in the number one spot, as the blockbuster disaster film “San Andreas”; is about to be released.
We wanted to know why people love disaster films so much. Dwayne tells our Rick Campanelli that “disaster movies like this, if done correctly, allow people to experience the worst of the worst. To experience mother nature at her strongest…and then you walk away and think, woah that movie was crazy.”;
“San Andreas” is sure to leave many fans saying “that was crazy’, as California experiences the largest earthquake ever recorded. Dwayne thinks that this movie will do well as it “is escapism and allows people to experience it…and be entertained.”;
If you’re looking for more entertainment set in California with Dwayne, you won’t have to wait long. Dwayne confirmed on Instagram that he is indeed making a “Baywatch” movie, and tells Rick, “it would be great if we could figure out a way between Pam (Anderson), certainly The Hoff, some way where it’s cool, it’s creative and funny,”; to all be in the film together, they should do it. So keep an eye out for reunion pics from the set.
