Not only has Anna Faris opened up about her separation from Chris Pratt, but she’s also talking about their son Jack’s long health battle.

In her new book, Unqualified, Faris talks about the “emotionally exhausting” time when little Jack, now 5, was in and out of the hospital.

When Jack was several weeks premature Faris explains, “The pediatric neurosurgeon sat Chris and me down to tell us that Jack has some severe brain bleeding and there was a chance that he could developmentally disabled.”

“I was in complete shock,” the “Mom” star continued. “So Chris and I did what we could, which was hold hands and hope and face it together.”

But as Jack grew older in the hospital, Faris reveals the hardest moments were watching Jack in the neonatal intensive care unit for weeks being poked and prodded.

“These moments can be hard on couples, but for us it really brought us together,” the 40-year-old actress wrote. “It felt like it was us against the world.”

With only slight vision problems and leg muscle issues, Jack is a healthy, happy boy today.
