Priscilla Presley’s Rep Confirms She Did Not Leave Scientology

Priscilla Presley has not given up on the Church of Scientology, despite reports claiming otherwise.

A report claiming Presley’s departure from the controversial religion was published by DailyMail on Saturday. Since then, a rep for Presley confirmed to People that the 72-year-old is still very much a follower of Scientology.

Presley is believed to have joined Scientology 40 years ago following the death of her iconic husband Elvis Presley. “I’ve had enough. I’m done,” Presley had allegedly said.

“Priscilla reached out to John Travolta after Elvis died in 1977 and that’s how she ended up in the church,” an alleged source explained. “She has been in it ever since and she raised her daughter Lisa Marie in it.”

Her daughter reportedly left the church in 2014, a move which supposedly contributed to Presley’s now debunked departure from Scientology. “Lisa Marie leaving made it hard for Priscilla,” the source added. “They are very close as a family and leaving the church has been a family decision.”
