Actor John Stamos is officially off the market, as he took to Instagram on Sunday to confirm that he’d popped the question to girlfriend Caitlin McHugh.

Stamos, 54, posted a sweet snap on the social media site showing a cartoon version of the couple at Disneyland, alongside the engagement ring emoji. He also wrote: “I asked… she said yes! …And we lived happily ever after.”

The American actor – who was previously married to Rebecca Romijn – has been dating McHugh, 31, since last year.

Stamos’ rep dished on details surrounding the engagement in a statement obtained by ET Canada. “John proposed to his girlfriend Caitlin McHugh on Sunday afternoon at Disneyland,” the rep said.

“He cut together a film of some of the most romantic moments in Disney and Pixar animation,” the rep added.  “The film concluded with Sebastian from ‘The Little Mermaid’ encouraging John to ‘Just ask the girl’.”

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Disneyland, Bob Iger, a friend of Stamos’ from his “Full House” days, helped organize the romantic proposal.

They managed to keep their romance on the down low until last March, when fans started to become suspicious. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest back in October, Stamos gushed about how “in love” he was.

Seacrest, 42, asked his radio show crew at the time: “Place your bets — who gets married first on this planet, John or me?” Stamos then replied: “I’m dating and I’m very much in love.”

“It’s great, isn’t it? Aren’t you so happy? You get to this point, and time goes by so damn fast. Who wants to live alone?” he added.

McHugh also gushed about the pair’s relationship earlier this year, admitting that the “Full House” star’s support of her work was “priceless.” “He’s very encouraging of anything I want to do career-wise,” the actress said. “I really appreciate it a lot. You don’t get that with every guy.”
