Batman Confirmed, Fans Catch Caped Crusader Shooting Scenes In Toronto

UPDATE: Thursday, May 28, 2015 (03:37 pm) – More fans lined the streets of downtown Toronto last night to catch a glimpse of the “Suicide Squad”; shooting a fast paced car chase scene.  This time, confirming that the caped crusader, Batman, will make an appearance in the film.  Although the body on top of the car does not belong to Ben Affleck (it has been confirmed it’s the actor’s stunt double), fans were treated to quite the show.

One Twitter user caught Batman on the top of Joker’s car, while a fan YouTube video caught a shot of the scene in action!

UPDATE: Wednesday, May 27, 2015 (01:10 pm) – The Batmobile took Toronto streets by storm again last night, as “Suicide Squad”; continued shooting a chase scene between Batman (played by Ben Affleck) and the Joker (played by Jared Leto) and one of ET Canada’s producers caught the car in action.

// and the Joker weren’t the only ones who got in on the action in Toronto, on the other side of town, Will Smith shot another scene in his full Deadshot get up.

See the photos below! smith1 — With filming of Suicide Squad underway in Toronto, bystanders got their first glimpse of a very familiar vehicle on the set: the Batmobile. Photos and video surfaced last night of the Batmobile racing down Yonge Street in hot pursuit of the Joker (Jared Leto), driving a souped-up pink and purple Infiniti G35 Coupe boasting a Joker-esque vanity license plate reading “HAHAHA.”; The presence of Batman’s iconic ride fuels rumours that the Caped Crusader will make an appearance in the film, with Ben Affleck said to reprise his Batman v Superman role. In this video shot by Terence Yip, posted on his Instagram page, the Batmobile can be seen driving behind the Joker’s vehicle, with stuntpeople in place of stars Jared Leto and Margot Robbie.

In addition to Jared Leto as the Joker and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Suicide Squad also stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Randal Flagg), Cara Delevinge (Enchantress) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc) in this super-villain movie based on the DC Comics franchise.

Suicide Squad is set to be released Aug. 5, 2016.
