Lest we think that Doctor Doolittle and Cinderella are the only people who can communicate with animals, Kellyanne Conway demonstrated that she too can talk to critters — or at least one animal in particular, when she was apparently accosted by a rogue squirrel while in the midst of an interview with CNN.

“And frankly, he was just a better messenger and communicator than she was,” Conway said while contrasting President Donald Trump  with Hillary Clinton.

As the White House advisor continued, she became distracted. “So, I just said she, and I know I was brought on… God, I hope that’s a squirrel and not a rat,” she quipped.

Attempting to soldier on, she began to continue but then broke out into a laugh and addressed the furry interloper.

“Um, I was, yeah. Hi, squirrel,” she said. “I was, uh, it’s better than the lawnmower that’s always back there.” Watch:
