Corey Feldman is speaking publicly about what he says is rampant sexual abuse of children in Hollywood.
On Monday, the former child star was interviewed by Matt Lauer on “Today”, who asked him how prevalent he believes the problem is.

Feldman tells Lauer, “I believe there is a lot of darkness in Hollywood right now, and I believe it’s been there for quite some time. And as we’ve seen with the Harvey Weinstein scandal, it continues to unfold. New names come forward every day.
“Now there’s names of misconduct with Kevin Spacey… It’s going to continue unraveling. This is just the beginning, it’s just the tip of the iceberg. So everything you’re seeing is building up to what I believe is going to be a dam-breaking open.”
The 46-year-old actor has alleged for years that he was subjected to sexual abuse as a child by powerful men in Hollywood, and recently launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $10 million to fund a feature film, which, he says, would expose what he claims is a pedophile ring operating within the film industry.
During the interview, Lauer pressed Feldman on why he hasn’t named the six men he has claimed to know are pedophiles in Hollywood.
“Every day you wait, every day you try to raise money, I would imagine you believe that children are being abused by pedophiles in Hollywood,” Lauer said. “So why are you sitting down talking to me, why aren’t you sitting down with the police right now?”
Feldman responded by saying he did go to the police in 1993 and gave them the names. “They’re on record. They have all of this information.”
“All they cared about was trying to find something on Michael Jackson,” Feldman said, adding that he believed Jackson to be innocent of allegations of child sexual abuse. “I know the difference between pedophiles and somebody who’s not a pedophile, because I’ve been molested.”
In addition, Feldman claims that there are “thousands of people in Hollywood who have the same information” about children being abused. “Why is it all on me? Why is it, if I don’t release the names in the next two months, or six months, or a year, I’m the bad guy? I’m the victim here. I”m the one who’s been abused.”
As for why he doesn’t go to the police again, Feldman says there is a statute of limitations in California on the crimes he alleges were committed, and that coming forward would put him at risk of being sued.
