To celebrate the opening of “Thor: Ragnarok” in theatres, “The Late Late Show” host James Corden gathered the main cast members for a special “4D” performance of the blockbuster Marvel movie.

What does “4D” mean exactly? It means that a packed movie theatre full of unsuspecting fans — thinking they were seeing an advanced screening of the new film — were surprised when Corden interrupted the movie and brought out Chris Hemsworth & co. for a live stage rendition.

As the crowd of movie-goers lose their collective minds, Hemsworth is joined on stage by Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, and a scooter-riding Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster.

The Marvel stars sport hilariously bad wigs and ill-fitting costumes as they recreate “Thor: Ragnarok” beat by beat. Hemsworth and Hiddleston join forces to battle Blanchett, who performs as if she’d rather be anywhere else in the world.

It’s Goldblum and Ruffalo who steal the show, however. Corden helps Ruffalo get into character with some anger-inducing slaps to the face, while Goldblum is generally just his lovable self as he glides around the stage, clearly enjoying every minute.

Whether “Thor: Ragnarok” will become a full-time touring show remains to be seen. Watch the performance in the video above.
