Taylor Swift Takes Home ‘Song Of The Year’ CMA Award Days Before Dropping ‘Reputation’

With only days to go until her new album “Reputation” drops on Friday, Taylor Swift finds herself well ahead of the game, having already nabbed herself an award.

The former country star returned to her roots on Wednesday after taking home the “Song of the Year” award for Little Big Town’s “Better Man”.

Though Swift wasn’t in attendance to accept the prize in person, LBT members Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberley Schlapman and Philip Sweet thanked her for the hit. “We want to say thanks to Taylor Swift. She couldn’t be here tonight with us. But Taylor, wherever you are, thank you for this beautiful song and for loving songs and loving Nashville. To the fans, to country radio, thanks for being so good to us.”

Swift, who’s been in New York City in preparation for her appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, was watching live and promptly shared her reaction with fans on Twitter. “In NYC for SNL rehearsals. I LOVE YOU @littlebigtown and CMAs,” she tweeted along with her speechless reaction video.

Though Swift was left dumbfounded by the win, her fans on the other hand, flooded Twitter with their undying support via hilarious memes and tweets directed at her haters. Here are just a few of the most passionate ones.
