A producer of several high-profile television series filmed in Vancouver has been fired following an investigation into sexual harassment allegations levied against him.

Variety previously said Andrew Kreisberg, an executive producer on the CW shows “Arrow”, “The Flash”, “Supergirl” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” – all of which are filmed in Vancouver – was suspended after receiving reports of “sexual harassment and inappropriate physical contact” from 15 women and four men who worked with him.

His recent firing was confirmed in a new statement published by Deadline. “After a thorough investigation, Warner Bros. Television Group has terminated Andrew Kreisberg’s employment, effective immediately,” the company said.

“We remain committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions,” they added.

The shows’ producers, Berlanti Prods., acknowledged the outcome of the investigation in a separate statement. “Warner Bros. Television Group recently concluded its investigation into the allegations against Andrew Kreisberg,” Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter said.

“We encouraged and supported this investigation, we believe and support the individuals who came forward, and we agree with the studio’s decision,” they continued. “Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of all our colleagues – coworkers, crew and staff alike.”

“According to sources who either witnessed this behaviour or were subjected to it, Kreisberg is accused of frequently touching people without their permission, asking for massages from uncomfortable female staff members, and kissing women without asking,” according to Variety.

The Warner Bros. TV Group said Kreisberg had announced the suspension.

The allegations followed a series of accusations against prominent Hollywood figures, including Harvey WeinsteinKevin SpaceyJames Toback and Brett Ratner. On Friday, comedian Louis C.K. acknowledged that allegations of sexual misconduct are true.
