Joe Jackson took to social media on Monday to wish his now 15-year-old grandson Blanket a very happy birthday with an adorable video message.
The 89-year-old retired manager, who lives in Las Vegas, shared a sweet message on his website, which read: “To my grandson Blanket. You are like your father in so many ways, and you remind me most of him. Enjoy life, see lots of good movies, stay healthy and remember, I do love you!”
He then posted a short clip of himself speaking to camera to say: “Hello Blanket! This is Joe Jackson, and you’re healthy as I don’t know what. You’re like your father.”
“Now I understand why your father had you wear masks all the time ’cause news people was bothering him so much and he tried to disguise you as much as possible…” the Jackson Family patriarch continued to say of Blanket’s father Michael, who died in 2009.
Jackson continued in the video, “Well, I want you to stay healthy and stay off those bikes too, you know? Don’t drive now, but anyway tell all your brothers I said hello and stay clean and healthy.”
“And see a lot of movies as you can, good movies of course,” he advised to Blanket, whose real name is Prince Michael Jackson II.
“Be like me: Be tough, be tough in a good way and you’ll live a long time. Above all, I love you all. Take care man, be good and I see you next time I come to LA, OK? Adios,” Jackson finished off by saying.
It seems as though Jackson could have been confusing Blanket with his 20-year-old brother Prince; who recently had a bike accident.
Prince is thought to have suffered an accident while riding his two-wheeler in Los Angeles during some wet weather.
He was taken to hospital to be checked over at the time, but was well enough to share a photograph of the incident on social media.
