Joe Keery, who plays Harrington on the hit Netflix show sat down with Seth Meyers where he spilled all his “Stranger Things” secrets.

“They were saying, ‘He’s going to be kind like this jock character, and he’s a swimmer,” Keery explained.

“So, for the first, I don’t know, six weeks prior to shooting, I was training, doing all this swimming prep,” he added. “I thought I was going to be in, like, a Speedo… And on the first day I showed up and they were like, ‘Oh, no, we cut that!'”

And that hair was something he was just born with, “I mean, my parents have kind of crazy hair,” he joked.

“For a long time, my dad was always on me about, you know, cutting my hair. ‘You gotta get a haircut. You got to gel your hair, got to do something to get your hair to stay down, it’s too big!'” he added.

“Stranger Things 2” is streaming now on Netflix.
