Mariah Carey is making her new holiday song a family affair as her twins, Monroe and Moroccan, make a cameo appearance in the music video.
The holiday ballad is the theme song for the new movie “The Star”, an animated tale of how a donkey and his animal friends became the unsung heroes of the very first Christmas. Carey also voices a character in the film alongside Kelly Clarkson, Oprah Winfrey, Kris Kristofferson and Kristin Chenoweth.
The mostly animated video for the Christmas tune features Carey in a shimmering silver dress as she belts out the soulful lyrics. The singer’s six-year-old twins (with ex-husband Nick Cannon) are joined by a third child to sing backup at the end of the song.
Carey isn’t the only superstar to lend her voice to the movie’s soundtrack. Kelsea Ballerini, Fifth Harmony, Zara Larsson, Jake Owen and more contribute songs to the film, which opens in theatres on Nov. 17.
