Jessica Chastain And Jimmy Fallon Mock Sexist Hollywood Auditions In Hilarious ‘Tonight Show’ Sketch

Jessica Chastain has been one of the most vocal opponents of sexism in Hollywood, and she decided to get her point across with a little comedy during her appearance on Friday’s “Tonight Show”.

In a sketch titled “Every Audition Ever”, the two-time Oscar nominee is seen auditioning for the role of “Angela,” reading the line: “Hi, my name’s Angela. It’s nice to meet you.”

Things start to verge on pervy, however, when the casting director (played by Fallon) asks her to say the line while putting a variety of differing spins on it, such as playing the character “hot” and “younger” until escalating to such descriptives as “like a spicy little peppermint with a secret… but hot.”

Things go completely off the rails when she’s asked to play the character “strong like a girl boss, but pouting, but sleeping, but also you love him, but hot… but also be Wonder Woman.”

Chastain, 40, has outspoken about Hollywood’s sexual harassment problem. “I hope the entertainment industry will never be the same,” Chastain declared in a recent roundtable interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m devastated by all the stories that have come out because it’s heartbreaking, but at the same time I feel hopeful, because we’re not ignoring it anymore.”
