First Look: Trailer For Lance Armstrong Biopic ‘The Program’ Arrives

The Lance Armstrong scandal continues to reverberate in pop culture consciousness, and that particular scab will soon be torn off thanks to The Program, an upcoming biopic dramatizing the events that led the champion cyclist to transform from international hero to shunned pariah.

The Program stars Ben Foster (Lone Survivor) as the disgraced cyclist, with Bridesmaids” Chris O’Dowd as journalist David Walsh who unravels Armstrong’s web of lies covering up his use of performance-enhancing drugs (the script is based on Walsh’s book, Seven Deadly Sins).

The film, boasting a supporting cast including Lee Pace (Halt and Catch Fire) and Oscar-winner Dustin Hoffman, is set for release toward the end of this year. Until then, here’s a sneak peek:
