Kendall Jenner has surpassed Gisele Bundchen as the world’s highest-paid model, following the supermodel’s 15-year reign on the list.
According to the annual Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid models for 2017 the 22-year-old model and reality star more than doubled her yearly earnings from 2016, making an estimated $22 million this year.
The magazine reveals that most of Jenner’s salary comes from social media deals with brands like, “Estee Lauder, La Perla and Adidas.” Forbes also notes that Jenner receives large sums “from her family’s reality TV show” and her “Kendall + Kylie clothing line.”
Following closely behind Jenner is Bundchen, 37, who made an estimated $17.5 million. This marked a large drop from last year’s reported $30.5 million salary, which the business outlet attributes to Bundchen receiving fewer lucrative fashion campaigns.
For her first time on the list, Chrissy Teigen comes in third with $13.5 million, reportedly thanks to her large social media following and deals with “Vita Coco and Smirnoff.” Teigen announced Tuesday that she is expecting her second child with John Legend.
Also included in this year’s top 10 are Gigi Hadid at number five with $9.5 million, Karlie Kloss at number seven with $9 million, Liu Wen at number eight with $6.5 million, Bella Hadid at number nine with $6 million and Ashley Graham at number 10 with $5.5 million.
