The 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was stuffed with mild controversy.

Jimmy Fallon and The Roots performed at this year’s star-studded parade on Wednesday, but their song choice soured some users on social media. The late-night talk show host and the Grammy-winning hip hop group covered Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy”.

The Roots’ performance was generally praised by fans, but Fallon’s singing received less love this American Thanksgiving Day.

Some fans enjoyed “The Tonight Show” host’s live performance, with one user calling his efforts “amazing.”

Another user tweeted, “Jimmy Fallon performing Prince in a jokey way is all kinds of wrong.”

This isn’t the first mild blunder at this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Twitterverse voiced their displeasure earlier today over The Goo Goo Dolls being introduced as a “classic rock” band at the event.
