Most people have an embarrassing anecdote involving passing gas, but Josh Hutcherson’s fart tale one-ups everyone — because it involves two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks.
Hutcherson told the story during his Thursday-night appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Cordon”, revealing that the cheese-cutting took place when he was just a lad, working with Hanks in the animated holiday film “The Polar Express”.
“We’re shooting this scene where he’s playing the hobo and he’s on top of the train, skiing down, and I’m nestled under him, and we’re like, ‘Whoa, this is crazy.’ I farted,” admits Hutcherson to Corden, revealing Hanks’ reaction didn’t exactly smooth things over.

“I farted in the scene, it happened, I did it and instead of playing it cool, Tom Hanks is like, ‘Whoa, whoa, oh my God, this kid, what the heck.’ My first big movie and I just farted in his face,” he recalls.
“It was a rite of passage and looking back on it, it was very funny,” adds the “Hunger Games” star, “but at that moment, I thought my face was gonna just start sweating blood.”
