Donald Trump is happy to see Matt Lauer fired.
The “Today” anchor was terminated Wednesday morning after complaints were made to NBC about “inappropriate sexual behaviour.”
The president took glee in Lauer’s downfall, tweeting after the news broke and suggesting that other top executives at NBC and Comcast be fired as well, and that others at the network be investigated.
Lauer has interviewed Trump several times in the past, including last year before the election during a “Commander-in-Chief” forum, for which the anchor was criticized for his performance.
Trump, who himself has faced allegations of sexual harassment and assault from at least 16 women, has regularly picked feuds with those in the public eye, including celebrities and media personalities.
