Reality TV couple Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling have shared their martial highs and lows on national TV with Dean even documenting his stint in rehab, but with the couple publicly insisting they’re stronger than ever, the star is opening up to ET Canada about his new path in life.
“As far as doing reality TV goes, I’m done with the real super personal stuff,”; the 48-year-old shares.
“If I think about it I have some regrets about doing it,”; he says. “I’m not opposed to do stuff with the family. Some light-hearted stuff like we did with “Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood and “Tori And Dean Inn Love.'”;
For now, the Canadian-American actor is stepping away from the reality TV spotlight to focus on being a husband, father and his love of cooking.
“The best thing about being a dad is when I walk through the front door, they just scream their heads off and are just so excited to see me,”; Dean tells us.
Having a lot of “picky eaters”; under one roof – McDermott is a father of five! – he tells us how he was inspired to write his first cookbook “The Gourmet Dad”;.
A collection of “easy and delicious meals the whole family will love,”; McDermott says sometimes the best family time is “the time you get to spend with your family and friends over a meal.”;
“The recipes are just suggestions,” says McDermott. “You try ’em out and if you get the kids to eat one thing that you make, one little thing out of that recipe, then you’ve won.”;
