Chelsea Handler Jokes She’s Slept With All The Royals, Reveals Why She’s Still Single In Hilarious ‘Ellen’ Interview

By Becca Longmire.

Chelsea Handler joked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle waited until she’d left London to announce their engagement, as she was quizzed about the royal wedding on Thursday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

Handler, 42, was in the UK to celebrate Thanksgiving last week, so DeGeneres, 59, asked what she thought of Harry popping the question.

Speaking of the Royal Family in general, Handler insisted: “I’ve slept with all of them, of course. No, [the engagement] happened right after I left, they waited until I’d exited the country before they made that big announcement because they didn’t want me to steal their thunder.”

“The Royal Family’s always been that with me, yeah. I know the Queen, yeah of course. She was my summer camp counsellor in New Jersey,” she added.

As the presenter then asked DeGeneres if she’d ever met the Royal Family, the “Finding Dory” star replied, “No, I’m related to Kate Middleton though and she refuses to acknowledge it. She won’t even acknowledge that I’m asking her on the show, she’s my 15th cousin I found out, so that’s pretty close.”

“I’m related to Madonna, Halle Berry, and Kate Middleton. Someone told me and we looked it up and it’s true. She doesn’t care.”

The pair then discussed why Handler is still single, with her insisting it’s because she’s really not interested in “having a little sex here and there anymore.”

Though she’s tried out a few dating apps, the star explained: “I’m trying to see if I still like sex, I don’t think about it a lot. The sex is never good enough to account for having to get somebody out of your hotel room.”

“You just have to say you have an appointment and lie, I can’t go down that road.”
