Former “Today” co-host Meredith Vieira once found some questionable sex items in Matt Lauer’s office.
In a May 2016 segment on her own “The Meredith Vieira Show”, Lauer and “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie joined their former colleague.
During their conversation, Vieira reminded Lauer, “You had a huge bag of sex toys, yes you did, in your closet, Matt.”
“Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute,” Lauer said. “We had a guest on the show who was a sex therapist… I think you did the segment, actually.”
Vieira responded, “I didn’t. I didn’t.” She added that she did not remember having a sex therapist on as a guest.
“When she left, she gave each of us a shopping bag of stuff,” Lauer said.
“I didn’t get a bag of stuff,” Vieira replied.
Lauer was fired from “Today” on Wednesday after NBC received a complaint about “inappropriate sexual behaviour.” Reporting by Variety and other news outlets detailed a number of allegations of harassment by the TV personality.
