Seth Meyers weighed in on the Matt Lauer sexual harassment scandal on Thursday’s “Late Night” show.
Meyers, 43, addressed the recent allegations that resulted in Lauer, 59, being fired by NBC earlier this week.
Responding to the Variety report suggesting Lauer once gifted a female employee a sex toy at work, Meyers shared, “As a general rule, if you’re giving someone a dildo at work, you’re the dildo at work.”
“One of the craziest details that’s been getting a lot of attention has been the specific way that Lauer was allegedly able to trap female staffers in his office,” he added, before referencing the alleged secret button Lauer had underneath his desk that enabled him to lock the door without getting up.
Meyers blasted: “Let me address anyone who works in the button-installing business, if I may. Nobody wants a button under their desk for a non-evil reason.”
“No one says, ‘I need a button under my desk that will release kittens for when my interns are feeling blue.'”

He continued, “If someone asks you to install a button under their desk, just nod and then report it to the police.”
Not ending the rant there, Meyers also discussed an alleged game that Lauer liked to play, called “F**k, Marry or Kill.”
The host suggested, “I don’t know who you’d like to marry in those occasions, but I do know you killed your career and you f**ked yourself!”
Meyers’ comments come as Lauer issued a statement Thursday, in which he admitted to being “embarrassed and ashamed.”
The disgraced reporter explained, “There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions.”

The statement continued: “As I am writing this I realize the depth of the damage and disappointment I have left behind at home and at NBC.
“Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed. I regret my shame is now shared by the people I cherish dearly.”
