Congratulations go out to Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr, who welcomed a son on Friday, Dec. 1.
The country singer and his wife made the announcement in an Instagram post, introducing the world to Memphis Aldean, weighing in at nine pounds, five ounces.
“So blessed today to see my little man come into the world,” writes Aldean in the caption accompanying a photo of the family shortly after the arrival. “In a year that has been a rollercoaster ride, this is what it’s all about. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for this kid.”
Memphis is the couple’s first child together; Aldean is also father of daughters Kendyl, 10, and Keeley, 14, from his previous marriage.
Aldean hinted at the name they had in mind during an interview with ET back in June, possibly throwing a little shade at Kim and Kanye in the process.
“It will be something unique and different. Nothing crazy like a direction — East, West, North, South — none of that stuff,” he said, perhaps alluding to North West. “It will be something really cool. Both of us have names that are pretty common, Jason and Brittany, so, something that’s kind of unique is kind of our main goal.”
