U2 have performed in the world’s biggest arena and to some of the biggest crowds in history, but on Wednesday they changed it up a little.

Bono and The Edge did a live show in the middle of the Deutsche Oper subway station on the appropriately named “U2” line in Berlin after taking a ride on a train with 120 lucky fans given tickets by local radio station Radioeins.

The band played some songs from their latest album, Songs of Experience, as well as some classics for the German onlookers.

During the train ride the duo answered questions about their creative process on the new album.
