Rose McGowan won’t hold back against anyone, man or woman.
The actress ripped into Meryl Streep for her reaction to the Harvey Weinsten sexual assault scandal and Alyssa Milano’s comments about Weinsten’s estranged wife.
McGowan, 44, was upset with a USA Today article titled: “Meryl Streep on Harvey Weinstein allegations: It’s ‘the most gargantuan example of disrespect’”.
“No, Meryl, IT’S A F***ING CRIME,” McGowan tweeted in response. “You are such a lie.”
Her former “Charmed” co-star Milano gave an update on Weinstein’s estranged wife Georgina Chapman in a Dec. 7 interview with “Megyn Kelly Today”.
“Georgina is doing very well,” Milano said of her “Project Runway: All Stars” co-star. “She’s an amazing mother. She’s an amazing woman. I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity, given the situation.”
McGowan was disgusted by Milano’s defence of Chapman. “You make me want to vomit. You actually gave me a body flashback. Well done, fake one,” she tweeted. “Alyssa, maybe you and Georgina can call up Camille Cosby,” McGowan said in a follow up tweet, referencing Bill Cosby’s wife, who has stood by the comedian.
McGowan and Milano were both honoured as “Silence Breakers” in Time’s Person of the Year issue.
