“The Rock” won’t run for U.S. President because of his “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” co-star Kevin Hart.
Dwayne Johnson, along with his “Jumanji” co-stars Hart and Jack Black, dropped by “The Graham Norton Show” on Friday to promote their upcoming film.
When asked if he would really embark on a campaign trail in 2020, Johnson acknowledged, “there’s been this really interesting uptick in public opinion wanting that to happen.”
Johnson, 45, said he was “flattered” by all the questions about a possible presidency, but insisted now was the “time to focus on helping people.”
Plus, the former WWE superstar-turned-acting phenom has no faith in Hart. “The problem is that [Hart] will completely sabotage the campaign in 2020, 2024,” he said. “He’ll literally sabotage it from the inside.”
“100 per cent,” Hart replied. “I will take you down. I don’t want it to happen because it will make you that much better than me, and I just don’t want it. I would sabotage it in a heartbeat.”
“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” swings into theatres on Dec. 20.
