The most chaotic thing at the Queens of the Stone Age’s concert on Saturday was frontman Josh Homme.
Homme, 44, drew heat after kicking a camera into a photographer’s face at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show in Inglewood, California.
“It was obviously very intentional,” the victim — Shutterstock photographer Chelsea Lauren — told Variety. “The next thing I know his foot connects with my camera and my camera connects with my face, really hard.”
As far as Lauren is concerned, the act could not have been anything but telegraphed: “He looked straight at me, swung his leg back pretty hard and full-blown kicked me in the face.”
Lauren was later hospitalized due to injuries she suffered.
Homme apologized for his actions in a tweet on Sunday, insisting he was kicking over stage equipment as part of his act and accidentally struck Lauren.
“I did not mean for that to happen and I am very sorry,” he wrote.
Homme’s soccer skills aren’t his only newsworthy moments from the night. The frontman allegedly referred to the crowd as “retards,” sliced his own forehead with a knife and reportedly yelled “f**k Muse”.

Earlier this year, Homme was sued for allegedly assaulting an autograph collector in Detroit.
