Jane Fonda’s early birthday present is a gift to others.
The two-time Oscar-winning actress stepped out for her GCAPP organization’s fundraiser in Atlanta on Saturday night. The event was dubbed “Eight Decades of Jane” and was held ahead of her milestone 80th birthday on Dec. 21.
Giving more than she received, the event raised an astounding $1.3 million for causes like teen pregnancy prevention, nutrition and healthy adolescent relationships.
Famous guests attending the event included actress Rosanna Arquette, musician Carole King and Fonda’s ex-husband Ted Turner. The event’s musical acts featured James Taylor and King.
Part of the proceeds were raised through an auction, which included prizes like a lunch date with Fonda and co-star Lily Tomlin and a visit to the set of “Grace & Frankie”.
And yes, there was cake.
