Beyonce’s team reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to Brooklyn’s Lineup Brewing after they created a Pilsner inspired by the singer called Bïeryoncé.

Owner Katarina Martinez said she was inspired to create the beverage after she missed one of Beyonce’s concerts despite having tickets.

However, she was forced to put an end to production after the brewery received the legal warning. It’s not known whether Beyonce personally ordered the letter to be sent.

The remaining beer, which was even mentioned on “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, will be available to buy in New York until supplies sell out.

Martinez explained her motivation: “As a Hispanic, female-run business, I am very inspired by her so I thought I’d pay homage.”

She added to Pitchfork: “We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but oh well. It was fun while it lasted!”
