Celebrities are turning to Twitter in full force to exert their influence on voters in Tuesday’s Alabama Senate election, where accused pedophile Roy Moore is in a neck-and-neck battle with Democratic challenger Doug Jones.

The unsavoury allegations surrounding Moore (numerous women have accused him of preying on them when they were teenagers) have transformed a state Senate race into international news, with Moore denying all accusations against him despite some pretty compelling evidence.

As a result, celebs ranging from Ellen DeGeneres to George Takei to Uma Thurman are taking to Twitter to urge their fans to vote for Jones in the election.

“If you believe all people are equal, whether they’re gay, straight, black, white, male of female,” wrote DeGeneres, “I hope you’ll get out tomorrow and vote for Doug Jones.”

Uma Thurman shared her thoughts in a pair of Instagram posts, urging female voters in Alabama to say “NO MOORE,” adding that “some moral boundaries must be uncrossable.”

Also chiming in are “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing — who urges Alabama voters to “stand on the #RightSideofHistory” — and comedian Whitney Cummings, who takes a shot at President Trump when she asks Alabamians to please “not vote for someone accused of sexual assault. Last time that happened (nov 2016) it didn’t go so well.”
