A mere month after unveiling her new female persona, Caitlyn Jenner is already among the world’s 10 most influential women, according to the BBC.
Jenner took the #7 spot in the 2015 Power List from BBC4 radio show Woman’s Hour, alongside such famed females as Angelina Jolie-Pitt (#3), Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour (#2) and singer-songwriter Sia (#6), with Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon taking the #1 spot.
The list highlights women who had an “exceptionally large impact”; during the past year, noting that “many news sources describe [Jenner] as the most famous openly transgender person in the world.”;
As Sarah Vine (one of the judges who put together the top-10 list) notes, Jenner’s inclusion in the list of influencers “can only be to the good if a wider audience can learn to understand her experience.”
