According to London-based Asian Eye, last year’s winner of its “Sexiest Asian Man” reader poll has been dethroned, with 2016 recipient Zayn Malik being surpassed by a new holder of the newspaper’s honour: Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor.
The 36-year-old actor — whose numerous films include “Udta Punjab” and “Shandahar” — landed in first place in this year’s poll, sending Malik tumbling down the list to third place; actor Hrithik Roshan landed in second place for the third consecutive year.
“I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. I am humbled by the desirable tag,” Kapoor told Eastern Eye, reports the Economic Times.

“I believe sexy is not only to do with the physical, but as much to do with the mental perspective on life. This one is for all those fans who have loved and supported me,” he added.
