Kick-Ass actress Chloe Moretz, 15, has big shoes (or prom dress) to fill as she takes on the role of Carrie White in the movie remake — but from the looks of this fire and brimstone teaser, she may just top Sissy Spacek’s acclaimed performance.

The Stephen King story returns to the big screen next year, and the teaser shows a town in flames and a girl, Carrie, covered in red paint. Emmy winner Julianne Moore will take on the part of Carrie’s crazy mother, Margaret White, originally played by Piper Laurie in the 1976 film.

For those not familiar with the horror story, the movie follows a sheltered, unpopular high school girl who unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers on a town after she is pushed too far by her peers at prom.

Check out the trailer of the 1976 Carrie movie, and let us know: Do you think Moretz has what it takes to play this iconic character?
