While the future of Linkin Park remains up in the air following the death of its frontman, guitarist Mike Shinoda is assuring fans there’s one thing fans will never see in a future incarnation of the band: a Chester Bennington hologram.
In a recent chat on Instagram Live, Shinoda opened up about the band’s future in the wake of Bennington’s suicide in July, and responded to fans’ questions about whether the band could continue with a three-dimensional hologram of its lead singer.

“Can we not do a holographic Chester? I can’t even wrap my head around the idea of a holographic Chester,” said Shinoda, as reported by Alternative Nation.
“I’ve actually heard other people outside the band suggest that, and there’s absolutely no way. I cannot f**k with that,” he added.

As Shinoda told fans: “I can’t do a hologram Chester you guys, that would be the worst. For any of you guys who have lost a loved one, best friend, family member, can you imagine having a hologram of them? Awful. I can’t do it. I don’t know what we’re going to do, but we’ll figure it out eventually.”
