Prince William was labelled a “legend” by viewers as he performed comedian Miranda Hart’s signature gallop on “The Royal Variety Performance”, which aired in the U.K. Tuesday night.
The royal was put on the spot after the audience were treated to an epic performance by the cast of “Annie”, with one of the adorable kids in the production asking him: “Please sir, will you gallop with us?”
With no hesitation, despite looking slightly red-faced, William immediately leapt to his feet and performed the pony move.
Delighted viewers took to Twitter in droves to gush over the royal and his up-for-anything attitude, with many also praising host Hart for creating such an incredible moment.
That wasn’t the only time Hart got William and Kate Middleton involved in the show, with her also roping them in for a “Miranda” sketch.
In Hart’s opening skit, she asked for help from the audience to recreate a “posh” party, with her getting people to shout out phrases such as “such fun” and that “upper-class British mumble.”

When prompted by the British star, the Duke of Cambridge then shouted back “such fun!” — a catchphrase ofΒ Hart — from the Royal Box, as Kate giggled away next to him.
Hart also kicked off the jam-packed show by singing “There’s No Duchess Like Show Duchess” during her rendition of Irving Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun” musical classic.
