A dark chapter in Ted Kennedy’s life is getting the big-screen-biopic treatment in “Chappaquiddick”.

Jason Clarke stars as U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy in the new movie, which explores the 1969 scandal surrounding a late night car crash that left his 28-year-old campaign strategist Mary Jo Kopechne (Kate Mara) dead. Kennedy waited 10 hours to report the accident, instead returning to his hotel room to call family members, including cousin Joe Gargan (Ed Helms) and his father, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. (Bruce Dern) to help him sort things out.
