A new series of promos are giving fans a taste of what to expect when the classic comedy “Roseanne” returns to television next year.

The new promos feature actors Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson reprising their roles from the original series.
“You can’t live in the past, Dan,” Roseanne tells her husband Dan (Goodman) after he references an old basketball game. “When things are gone, they’re gone forever.”
The joke is a clear reference to both the show coming back, but also Dan’s apparent death in the final season of the original series.
“I don’t want to talk too specifically, but I wouldn’t say we’ll ignore the events of the finale,” ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey told Entertainment Weekly. “Dan is definitely still alive.”
